It’s been 10 months since I’ve last updated this site.
I’m excited to be returning to both my book project, and adding more content to this blog and resource. I hope to explore the challenges of sustaining a creative drive and discipline of writing after experience some major life issues, and also the experience of reviving a dormant draft.
In short, I started experiencing some health issues last year that I won’t get into. If you read my previous posts, you’ll see that I worked hard to set up a morning routine that relies on waking up early– well before the rest of the family. I decided the extra hour or two of sleep would be best for my health, so with my morning writing routing gone, I had little time to contribute to the content.
I also welcomed an incredible new addition to my family. My wife and I had a beautiful girl in September, shortly after my last post here was published. Needless to say, having two kids is much more work than one, and it just didn’t feel like an opportune time to be forging forward with my first novel.
Now that things are a bit settled, I’m able to wake up early, pour that coffee, and get to work. I hope that I’m able to provide value and insight into the process, as well as a great book that’s fun and interesting to read.
Until next time! Thanks for tuning in.
