Finding the perfect text editor

Okay, now this post is a perfect example of a writer’s procrastination. While I should be fearlessly typing away at chapter 1, I’m researching and compiling a list of heavyweight contenders for the perfect text editor.

Getting there [Sprint 1]

I am six days away from the “one-month” anniversary of announcing my book project. Since then I’ve written nothing! I’ve heard others refer to this as the procrastination fairy. Maybe she really does exist!

I have been working though. In the past few weeks, I’ve researched and acquired some books about writing which I plan to explore. Last week, I developed the premise for four possible books, and emailed the ideas to my email subscribers. I also shared these on Facebook with my personal network for more feedback. Choosing the right novel idea

In my pursuit to write my first book, I’ve decided that it’ll be fiction. I had assumed this would be the case, but didn’t want to rule out creative nonfiction, poetry, or some other possible incarnation of wherever this is going. Somewhere in my head there is a story to tell…now it’s just a matter of choosing the right one!

They (well, the proverbial they) say that if you want to be a writer then write. I know that’s where I need to be, so choosing the right story to start penning is my first challenge. I’ll need your help! Continue reading
